October 2026: our first guidelines, written for an 18+ community. We’ll note every change here.

Bullying & harassment
  • Don’t insult, mock, threaten or pile on anyone.
  • Don’t keep messaging someone who has asked you to stop.
  • Disagree with ideas kindly; never attack the person.
Hate speech
  • No content that attacks people for their religion, caste, race, gender, sexuality, disability, age or background.
  • No slurs, including “as a joke”.
Self-harm, suicide & eating disorders
  • You can share how you feel, including suicidal thoughts. You won’t be judged.
  • Never describe methods, amounts or plans, and never post graphic images.
  • Never encourage anyone to hurt themselves.
  • No weight, calorie or “tips” content that could harm someone with an eating disorder.
  • If you or someone else is in danger, use Urgent help straight away.
Illegal content
  • Nothing illegal in India or where you live, including selling drugs, weapons or stolen goods.
  • We report credible threats to life to the authorities.
Age & minor safety
  • LivesWispear is for people aged 18 and over.
  • Any content that sexualises children is removed and reported to the authorities.
Predatory or grooming behaviour
  • Never try to move someone vulnerable to private apps, ask for photos, or build secret relationships.
  • Accounts doing this are closed immediately.
Dating & sexual content
  • No sexual content, requests or flirting. This is a support space, not a dating app.
Explicit images
  • No nudity, gore or shocking images, now or when photo sharing arrives.
Spam
  • No repeated posts, chain messages, or copying the same reply to many people.
False information
  • Don’t share health claims as facts. Share what helped you, not what others “must” do.
  • Never tell someone to stop or change their medication.
Privacy
  • Never share real names, phone numbers, addresses, school or work details, or screenshots of other people’s messages.
Reporting
  • If something worries you, report it to our team. Reports are confidential.
  • Don’t report people just because you disagree with them.
Ban evasion
  • If your account is suspended, don’t create another one. New accounts made to get around a ban are closed.
Marketing & fundraising
  • No adverts, selling, money requests or links to fundraisers.
Quality
  • Write in a way others can follow. Very low-effort or meaningless posts may be shown to fewer people.
Catfishing & impersonation
  • Be yourself. Don’t pretend to be someone else, including LivesWispear staff, listeners or our founders.
Religious & political content
  • You can talk about faith and the news when it relates to how you feel. No preaching, campaigning or arguments.
Security
  • Never share passwords or log-in codes. LivesWispear staff will never ask for them.
  • Don’t post links to downloads or sign-in pages.
Usernames & profile pictures
  • Nicknames and profile details must follow these guidelines. No real names of other people, insults or sexual words.
Supporting LivesWispear
  • Supporter plans add extras, but never buy special treatment, moderation decisions or the right to break these rules.

What happens if guidelines are broken
